Hi Amy!

I just wanted to fill you in and thank you for the job that you sent my way over the weekend. It went AMAZING!!! So much in one day. we filmed a PSA, a Fox news segment, a music video for Ronni Bogle's fashion show and the reality show for Joseph and Cassandra. I ended up being the only person that made it, which freaked me out for a few minutes and I did hair and makeup for everyone and we still wrapped 30 min earlier than planned! The whole crew was new to each other and worked together like we had been together forever. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was really comfortable. I cannot begin to tell you how excited and overwhelmed I am! The contacts were better than I ever could have hoped for. Cassandra and Joseph run a new company putting together red carpet events and such and they know so many people! Ronnie Bogle was so nice and absolutely loved him and his designs and he invited me to his runway show on the 5th of August in San Jose to assist backstage! I am getting reels of the PSA, entire runway show, and Fox new segment for my resume and all the stills I want from the runway show....as well as my contact info and credits in all the 150 swag bags for the vip's at the runway show! I started my facebook page last night and posted some of my portfolio pics and so far people are loving them and Ronnie was really impressed! I am super excited adn a bit freaked out too :D I was wondering if you could help me with the body makeup I know we will be doing on the men at the runway show. We didnt really touch on that in class and I know that this show is all men down to their little skivvies! Super classy, not too out there, but really chisled and sharp. And OMG, they are some beautiful men!!!! I will do anything so anything you can teach me, I am in!!! I want to be prepared for the 5th. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to you for all you taught us last month. I felt really prepared for working on set and was able to get to work. Looking back I can see things I want to do better and things that I know I did really good with. Let me know what you think, like I said I will do anything to learn more!!! I spent 2 years researching various makeup academies before I settled on attending Award Studio this year. As a licensed cosmetologist/salon & spa owner, it is very difficult to find adequate training in the makeup field through our vendors/suppliers/company representatives, so I was very excited to find an in-depth program that occurs within a reasonable time frame. I just wanted to let you know while I was recovering from an injury for over seven months, I had the opportunity to research and compare all of the different Makeup Artist Schools. I made a spread sheet of all the schools that I could find from New York, Florida, California and everything in between. My spread sheet confirmed the information that became very apparent while training at your studio. I learned more, received more experience and when I was finished I felt more confident than I ever dreamed I would. I have been interested in makeup artistry since junior high school and absolutely fell in love with the idea around my 20th birthday. I started working at a makeup counter but felt I couldn't get the experience and skills I needed to branch out to bigger and better things. I needed instruction and I found the best at Award Studio. I had researched other lengthy schools in the LA area and was intrigued by the one week course Amy offered. I had my doubts about how it was possible to learn so much in such a short period of time. But having gone through the course, I understand how Amy does it. It's a combination of her years of experience in front and behind the camera that culminate into that one week class. She knows what the photographer is looking for and she knows what we as the make up artists need to do to make it happen. Plus - the class sizes are small and it's easy to call out, "Amy!" when you think you're not sure or you've messed up.

Amy is a sweetheart - so creative, so approachable and so knowledgeable. She has an amazing energy about her - the entire class was swept up in her whirlwind of enthusiasm. I just wanted to thank you for the career oportunity and training. I have been home less than 30 days and already have two upcoming weddings, two bridal shows, a runway show booked and am building a business I hope to pass down to my three beautiful girls some day. Savaden Make-up Artistry is in the making. We not only learned media make-up, runway make-up, special effect application, the importance of sanitation.....we learned the most important part about the make-up industry......HOW TO MAKE MONEY!!
